SaE 1 - The Right Distance

In the evening or in the night when you are looking at the dark sky, you can see many stars. These stars are very far away from us. Depending on its size and how far it is we see it as more or less bright.

The sun is such a star, too.

The difference to the other stars we can see is that the sun is very close to us. In fact, it is the closest star.

That is the reason why we see the bright light and feel the warmth of the sun.
