How far away from us is the sun?
Compared with other stars the sun is very close to us - but is on the other hand far away from us.
Imagine if there were a railroad line from earth to sun. How long would it take with an HST-train (the fastest train we have) which is running day and night without interruption to arrive at the sun? What do you estimate?
