- of God,
- of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ or
- of our life with Jesus
were painted on eggs.
A lamb was painted because it reminds us that Jesus was compared to a lamb in the Bible:
Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1, 29
The sun is a sign of life, growth, warmth and joy. God gives us these good things. He created the sun.
